These committees bring together industry professionals and Kishwaukee College faculty
to help ensure programs reflect current workforce needs and prepare students for successful
careers.
Advisory committees help ensure that Kishwaukee College programs remain aligned with real-world workforce demands. Committee members share industry insights that help faculty update curriculum, identify emerging technologies and prepare students for careers in high-demand fields.
Through these partnerships, Kish students graduate with the skills and experience employers are looking for.
Advisory committee members provide guidance and feedback that helps strengthen academic programs and career preparation.
Members may:
- Share industry trends and workforce needs
- Review curriculum and program outcomes
- Provide recommendations on equipment or technology used in the field
- Support internships, apprenticeships and career opportunities for students
- Help ensure graduates are prepared for today’s workforce
Advisory committees are made up of local and regional professionals working in fields related to Kishwaukee College programs. Members typically represent a mix of industry employers, workforce leaders and college faculty.
Most members come from outside the education sector and volunteer their time to help ensure programs reflect current industry standards.
Kishwaukee College welcomes industry professionals who are interested in supporting workforce development and helping shape the next generation of skilled professionals.
