A minimum of 50 signatures are required. The Statement of Economic Interest must be
filed on or before this date with the DeKalb County Clerk's office and the receipt
must be filed on or before this date with the local election official who received

CONSOLIDATED ELECTION

*Petitions and all other related filing materials may be obtained at Kishwaukee College
from Carolyn Chrusciel, Room 2160 Administration, any time during regular office hours,
8 am to 4 pm Monday through Thursday. The Administrative Offices are located on the
second floor of Kishwaukee College’s Student Center on the Malta campus. The election
is conducted by the county clerk of each county in which Kishwaukee College is located.
Nominating petitions are obtained and filed at Kishwaukee College in Malta, IL.
PETITIONS FOR NOMINATION
Petitions for nomination to the Kishwaukee College Board of Trustees are available
from the Office of the Executive Assistant to the President (C2160) at Kishwaukee
College. Nomination papers may be obtained from Carolyn Chrusciel, Executive Assistant
to the Board of Trustees, starting on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022. The election will be
held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
Three Board of Trustees positions are available for six-year terms. The first day
for filing nominating petitions is Monday, Dec. 12, 2022, and the last day for filing
is Monday, Dec. 19, 2022. Petitions are to be filed in the Office of the Executive
Assistant to the President (C2160) at Kishwaukee College between the hours of 8:00
a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, Dec. 12–Dec. 16 and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday,
Dec. 19.

Trustees are elected at-large from Kishwaukee College District 523. Three six-year
term seats on the Board will be filled in the consolidated election on April 6, 2021.
Trustees whose terms expire are Bob Johnson (Waterman), Dr. Robert Hammon (Sycamore)
and Linda Mason (Sycamore).
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be 18 years of age or older on the date of the election
- Be a resident of Illinois and the district for at least one year immediately preceding
the election
- Not be a member of a common school board
- Qualifications for the student member are defined in the Student Government Association
Constitution.
Needed Nomination Papers
The nomination papers filed by a candidate shall consist of:
- Statement of Candidacy
- Nominating petition sheets totaling 50 or more signatures and properly notarized
- Receipt for filing a Statement of Economic Interest with the DeKalb County Clerk specifically
for the office of Kishwaukee College Trustee
- Loyalty Oath (optional)
