The Board of Trustees is comprised of seven members elected at-large from District
#523, and a student trustee who is elected by other students.
Election Dates & Terms
Board elections are held the first Tuesday following the first Monday in April in
odd-numbered years. Trustees serve six-year terms on a rotating basis.
Candidate Qualifications
Be a U.S. citizen
Be 18 years of age or older on the date of the election
Be a resident of Illinois and the district for at least one year immediately preceding
the election
Not be a member of a common school board
Qualifications for the student member are defined in the Student Government Association
Constitution.

Vacant Seat Public Notice
Kishwaukee College District 523 does not currently have any vacant seats on the Board.
Kishwaukee College will host Discover Kish from 11 am-1 pm on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at the College. Discover Kish helps new students and their families explore and learn about Kishwaukee College before the start of the semester.
The Kishwaukee College Foundation awarded $124,250 in program enhancement funds to Kishwaukee College departments for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Foundation has a variety of program enhancement funds established by donors for specific purposes. Funds support needs such as educational support for instructors, new equipment and testing services.
