The Board of Trustees is comprised of seven members elected at-large from District #523, and a student trustee who is elected by other students.

Election Dates & Terms

Board elections are held the first Tuesday following the first Monday in April in odd-numbered years. Trustees serve six-year terms on a rotating basis. 

Candidate Qualifications

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be 18 years of age or older on the date of the election
  • Be a resident of Illinois and the district for at least one year immediately preceding the election
  • Not be a member of a common school board
  • Qualifications for the student member are defined in the Student Government Association Constitution.

Vacant Seat Public Notice

Kishwaukee College District 523 does not currently have any vacant seats on the Board. Three Board of Trustee positions will be available during the April 4, 2023, election.
