The Board of Trustees is comprised of seven members elected at-large from District #523, and a student trustee who is elected by other students.

Election Dates & Terms

Board elections are held the first Tuesday following the first Monday in April in odd-numbered years. Trustees serve six-year terms on a rotating basis. 

Candidate Qualifications

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be 18 years of age or older on the date of the election
  • Be a resident of Illinois and the district for at least one year immediately preceding the election
  • Not be a member of a common school board
  • Qualifications for the student member are defined in the Student Government Association Constitution.
