Read MoreThe Kishwaukee College Board of Trustees annually sponsors the Awards of Excellence, a program that recognizes outstanding employees for their contributions to the mission of the College and their efforts to make the College's vision a reality.
Anyone may submit a nomination. Nominations from students and community members are encouraged!
The 2025 nominations are now closed.
2025 Nominations will be accepted no later than 4:00 pm on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
All full-time employees, part-time employees and adjunct faculty members (other than Cabinet Level Administrators) are eligible to be nominated for an award.
One recipient will be selected in each of the five categories to receive an award.
For each award category, a committee is formed. With the exception of the Adjunct Faculty and Part-Time Employee category, each committee is comprised of employees in the respective award category (i.e. the support staff make up the Support Staff committee, etc.). The individual committees then review the nominations and recommend recipient(s).
All award recipients will have their names added to the Award of Excellence plaque displayed on campus. In addition, they will each be presented with an individual plaque in the spring. Full-time recipients will receive an award stipend of $1,000 (less appropriate taxes) while part-time staff recipients and adjunct faculty recipients will receive a $250 award (less appropriate taxes).
No person may receive an award two years in a row. Cabinet level Administrators are ineligible.
