Kishwaukee College is committed to providing our employees a competitive group health
plan. In spite of this commitment, we know that consumer out-of-pocket spending on
healthcare in the U.S. has risen and will continue to grow at a rate of 9.9% for the
next five years. Our provider, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, must be transparent
regarding the billing rates for covered medical items and services of in-network providers
(e.g., doctors and hospitals) and out-of-network historical payments. This information
is published to the website of Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL.
The Kishwaukee College Board of Trustees voted to certify the College’s 2022 tax levy at its November meeting at a level that will continue a ten-year trend of lower Kishwaukee College real estate tax rates for residents and businesses within the Kishwaukee College district, which encompasses parts of DeKalb, Ogle, Lee, Boone, Kane, Winnebago and La Salle counties.
Kishwaukee College was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the College’s comprehensive financial report for the Fiscal Year 2021.
