Paying for college does not have to be overwhelming. Our Financial Aid Office is here

FAFSA Starts Here
Filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the first step
toward accessing federal and state financial aid. Follow these simple steps to complete
your application accurately and on time. Our team is here to support you at every
stage.
Determine your eligibility — General eligibility requirements include that you have financial needs, are a U.S.
citizen or eligible noncitizen, and are enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate
program at Kish.
Create a FSA ID — Obtain a Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID) for the student and at least one parent (if dependent) to sign and submit the FAFSA.
Fill-out the FAFSA — Use Kishwaukee College’s school code 007684 when completing the FAFSA. The application typically opens each year on October 1 and uses tax information
from two years prior. For example, the FAFSA for the 2026–2027 academic year would
use 2024 tax information and be available starting October 1, 2025.
Complete Additional Documentation — Review your account to see if any additional items are being requested. Additional
documents can be viewed using your myKC account.
