Kish College to host Early Childhood Education speaker

Kishwaukee College will host educator Debra Lawrence for her discussion “Lost Opportunities: When Teaching Interferes with Learning” as part of Kish’s Cultivating Leaders in Early Childhood Education (ECE) professional development series.

The event will take place from 5:30-7:30 pm Wednesday, June 28, in C1133-1134 at the College or online via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public.

Lawrence currently serves as President of the International Play Association (IPA) U.S.A. Division and recently presented at the IPA conference in Stockholm. She is also the developer of the Porch Chat podcast, featuring ECE educators from across the country.

Kish’s Cultivating Leaders in ECE series focuses on current early childhood education and care topics. Those interested in a career in ECE are encouraged to attend.
