Project Beacon presenting on the Native American invisible epidemic November 5 at Kish

Kishwaukee College’s Diversity Committee will host a presentation on the experiences of Native American tribes with human trafficking. As a way to bring awareness to the number of missing Native Americans, Project Beacon, from the American Indian Center of Chicago, will be on campus November 5 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm in the Student Lounge C1130 to discuss the “invisible epidemic.” The presentation is free and open to the public.

Project Beacon is the anti-sex trafficking and human trafficking support service of the American Indian Center of Chicago. Their presentation will discuss the often under-reported epidemic of missing Native Americans including trafficking, mis-identification and cultural awareness surrounding the cultural crisis.
