Kish Athletics holding free information sessions for interested high school students and families

Kishwaukee College athletics is holding information sessions about golf, soccer and eSports on campus in early March. High school students and their parent/guardians are invited to meet the coaches and learn more about potential opportunities in competing at the intercollegiate athletics level. Attendees are asked to RSVP by March 9.

Kish is a proud member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and our teams compete in Region IV and participate in the Arrowhead Athletic Conference. Approximately 58 percent of current student athletes come from local high schools. Last year, 39 student athletes were nominated for the 2018-2019 Arrowhead Conference Academic Excellence Team. For Fall 2020, the College will have a total of 14 sports teams.

Each athletic information session will run from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm in room C1121 on Kish campus. Men’s and women’s golf, new for Fall 2020, will meet March 10. Men’s and women’s soccer will meet March 11. Finally, another new sport for Fall 2020, Co-Ed eSports (video gaming) will meet March 12. Attendees are encouraged to park in lot A and enter through door 6.

For more information about the athletics information session or to RSVP, contact athletic director Scott Kawall at skawall@kish.edu or 815-825-9837.
