Kishwaukee College establishes institutional goals to guide strategic planning, strengthen student success and ensure the College continues to meet the evolving needs of its students and community. These priorities help focus resources, support innovation and advance the mission of the College.
- Provide programs and services to foster student achievement.
- Recognize the importance of building and maintaining a positive employee experience.

Annual College Goals
One of the college’s goals is to support student success by providing programs and services that foster student achievement.
- Implement use of AI within the Navigate student success management system.
- Investigate the implementation of Workforce Pell.
- Review and update student learning outcomes in 50% of all Kishwaukee College courses to include digital literacy and employability skills.
- Certify 80% of adjunct faculty and 50% of full-time faculty teaching online through Quality Matters 101 or an equivalent credential.
One of the college’s goals is to recognize the importance of building and maintaining a positive employee experience.
- Revise and standardize all KCSS job descriptions and complete wage study.
- Successfully negotiate KCSS contract.
The college is committed to collaborating with stakeholders to effectively meet the needs of students and the community.
- Host a College wide meeting of advisory committee members and business partners to gather information and feedback on the College’s engagement with local industry.
- Develop and implement a communication plan to connect students to employment opportunities.
- Explore opportunities to expand and develop new healthcare programs to meet evolving industry needs.
The college aims to position itself for the future by strategically planning and responding to opportunities through effective resource management.
- Identify and implement emerging technologies, including an AI credential, to ensure the College remains future focused.
- Execute the capital projects scheduled for FY27.

Presidential Message
Welcome to Kishwaukee College, where everyone is welcome—no matter where they are on their educational journey. Whether students are earning a high school diploma, learning English, pursuing career training, or taking rigorous courses with plans to transfer to a university, Kish is here to support their goals.
Exciting things happen on our campus and in our classrooms every day. One of the best things about Kish is our flexibility—our “classrooms” are wherever students choose to learn: on campus, online, at home, or in a favorite spot in the community. We offer many options so students can learn how and when it works best for their schedules. Our student clubs, organizations and athletic programs are thriving, creating meaningful opportunities for students to get involved beyond the classroom.
At Kish, our focus is on helping students succeed in the classroom and in the workplace. A key part of student success is affordability, and we are incredibly proud of our unique “All-In” tuition model. Students pay one price for tuition, fees and textbooks—the amount shown on their tuition statement is the amount they pay. Getting textbooks is as easy as stopping by the Kish Store to pick them up. “All-In” is saving students and families millions of dollars each year. Because students do not have to pay separately for textbooks or wait for financial aid to purchase them, course materials are available on the first day of class, supporting success from the start. We are already seeing the impact as students perform better in their courses with the All-In model.
At Kish, we listen to our students and communities, and we continually evolve to provide new and innovative ways to deliver a first-class education close to home. I encourage you to explore the programs, services and activities we offer. Course options are designed to fit students’ work and family schedules, and program options range from short-term credentials to two-year associate degrees. Advising, tutoring and career services are just a few of the many support services available to help students succeed in the classroom and after college.
