Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is charged with establishing policy for the financing, governance,
operation and administration of Kishwaukee College. The Board of Trustees is comprised
of seven elected officials, each elected for a six-year term, and one non-voting student
trustee who serves a one-year term. Trustees legislate by majority rule through the
formal passage of policies, resolutions and motions. Community College District 523
is one of 39 community college districts in the Illinois Community College System.
The President of Kishwaukee College is Dr. Laurie Borowicz. Dr. Borowicz joined Kishwaukee College as the fifth President in 2016. Throughout
her time here, Dr. Borowicz has helped develop innovative educational opportunities
and continued the College’s rich legacy of excellence in education with a focus on
student success.
The Senior Leadership Team, serving at the discretion of the President, helps the
President manage the College. The Senior Leadership Team reports directly to the President
and conducts the day-to-day administration of the College.
The Kishwaukee College Foundation is pleased to announce the student scholarship recipients for the Fall 2025 semester. The Foundation awarded 296 scholarships totaling $218,866.
Kishwaukee College hired Michael Poindexter Jr. as the next head coach for the Men’s Basketball team. Poindexter will take over this year as the 12th coach in program history.
