Kishwaukee College will celebrate Black History Month throughout February by hosting
several events and discussions for students and the community. Black History Month
is observed annually to recognize and honor the accomplishments Black people have
made in the United States and worldwide. The events hosted by Kish are free and open
to the community.

Wednesday, Feb. 19 — Say it With Music — 1-3 pm in the Student Lounge, C1130
Wednesday, Feb. 26 — Karaoke Jam Session — 12-2 pm in the Student Lounge, C1130
Kishwaukee College is honored to celebrate Black History Month and aligns its programming
based on the themes developed by the Association for the Study of African American
Life and History. This year’s theme is African Americans and Labor. The College is
committed to a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, focused on respect
and fairness in all aspects of the College experience.
