Kish College hosts events celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

Kishwaukee College commemorates Hispanic Heritage Month with a series of events throughout September and October. Nationally observed from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, Hispanic Heritage Month honors the contributions and recognizes the rich culture of Hispanic and Latin Americans.

Kish is excited to announce the College has been designated a Hispanic Serving Institution by the U.S. Department of Education as of May 2024. Kish qualified for the recognition, with Hispanic students making up 25.1% of the 2021-2022 enrollment.

“We are proud to recently be named a Hispanic Serving Institution for our growing, multicultural community. We are dedicated to fostering and promoting a positive learning environment for all our students,” said Dr. Laurie Borowicz, President of Kishwaukee College.
