Kishwaukee College will host an open house for Career and Technical Education (CTE)
programs from 5-7 pm Wednesday, April 5, at Kish in the Caukin Building. The CTE Open
House will allow prospective students to view Kish’s state-of-the-art labs and equipment
and network with instructors and area employers.
Kish CTE programs provide students with the skills and training necessary to fill
in-demand roles in the local workforce. At Kish, CTE programs are adapted to local
labor needs as the College models its courses based on community input. The programs
offer students the opportunity to gain real-world skills, explore careers to find
their passion, and set up options for further college and career success.
Featured programs during the CTE Open House include Automotive Technology, Business
and Marketing, Criminal Justice, Diesel Power Technology, Horticulture, Office Systems,
Truck Driver Training, Welding and more. Local employers will be in attendance to
discuss career opportunities in their respective fields.
The event is free and open to the public. Guests are asked to park by the Caukin Building,
and directional signs will be available.
