Message from the President
Kishwaukee College’s summer session is underway fully online. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world for all of us, and Kishwaukee College, like all other institutions of higher education, has shifted to a new way of learning and working. We continue to offer quality online classes and support services to help students achieve their educational goals.
As we look forward to fall, we are planning for a limited number of students returning to campus for instruction. Some of our courses, especially labs and Career and Technical Education courses, need face-to-face instruction to serve the learning needs of our students. The plan for campus re-entry follows guidelines provided by the Governor’s office, CDC and the Illinois Department of Public Health. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
We know, now more than ever, that change is constant in our world. As we try new ideas and approaches, we are experiencing bumps and challenges, but we are also having some great “ah-ha” moments. At Kish, we have lived through change for the past decade, adjusting to the evolving landscape of higher education. I am proud of how we continue to provide new and innovative ways to serve our communities and achieve our mission.
I encourage you to check out our courses and programs, including a fully online associate degree, which allows students to take classes that fit their schedules and other obligations. Please take some time to explore the many learning opportunities available at the College.
At Kish, even remotely, we continue to be focused on serving the educational needs of our students. Stay safe and healthy, and we look forward to seeing you on campus soon.
Dr. Laurie Borowicz
