Community Pride Mural and NOH8 Campaign coming to campus

Kish invites all to participate in the Community Pride Mural and the NOH8 Campaign in April. Both events are free and open to the public.

The third annual Community Pride Mural will take place April 2 and April 3 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm in the Student Center (located near the bookstore) on campus. This year, the community will collaborate to create “a mural of a different kind.” Stop by and add your touch to the mural.

The NOH8 campaign will take place April 9 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm in the Student Lounge, C1130 on campus. The campaign promotes an anti-bullying message through education, advocacy, social media, and visual protest. Participants may consent to have their photographs added to the National Campaign and/or the College’s Facebook page, if desired.

Both events are sponsored by the Committee on Gender and Sexuality Diversity. For more information on either, please contact Assistant Professor of English Ami Irmen at or 815-825-9378.
