Kishwaukee College and the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are pleased to announce an admission agreement that provides Kish students a direct pathway to a bachelor’s degree at the U of I. The agreement went into effect August 1.
“We appreciate that the University of Illinois identified Kishwaukee College as one of the first community colleges they chose to update the articulation agreements with for their College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences,” comments Dr. Joanne Kantner, vice president of instruction at Kish.
The agreement with ACES at the U of I Urbana campus ensures that Kish students who successfully complete specific standards and criteria for the intended academic program at the university are guaranteed admissions into the institution. The agreement includes the following ACES majors: Agricultural and Consumer Economics; Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications; Animal Sciences; Computer Science and Crop Sciences; Crop Sciences; Food Science and Human Nutrition; Human Development and Family Studies; Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences; and Technical Systems Management.
“We are pleased to be able to further extend the reach of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois to highly motivated students of our state,” says Dr. Anna Ball, associate dean for Academic Programs. “We are committed to the students of Illinois to ensure they have the best possible pathway to success.”
