Kish STEM students benefit from ‘Smitty’ Assistantship
Three Kishwaukee College students participated in science-based learning opportunities during the 2024-2025 school year thanks to the Robert L. “Smitty” Smith Assistantship.

C1122 — Game room. Includes couches, chairs, TVs and games.
C1132 —Quiet Dining Space. Includes tables, furniture, TV, microwave and coffee maker.
C2220 — Study room located on the second floor near the Library atrium. The room includes a study table and whiteboard. Available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Health Science Lobby — Located in the B1200 wing near the vending machines, the space includes comfortable seating and tables.
Library First Floor — Study tables and computer carrels are available for individual and group use.
Library Second Floor — Study tables and computer carrels are available for individual and group use.
Student Center — Various seating for individual or collaborative study available on the first and second floors.
Triangle Lounges — Lounges include comfortable seating and tables. Located in the A1200, A1300 and B1400 wings.
Library Second Floor — Quiet study room with with a study vibe.
C1125, C1126 — Quiet study area with computers and tables available. Sign in at the Student Involvement front desk.
C1132, C1133, C1134—Quiet area to study and eat lunch, featuring access to an outdoor patio with tables.
Four study rooms on the first floor of Library & Tutoring Services are available by appointment. They are equipped with collaborative, screen-sharing technology and whiteboards. Perfect for 4-6 people or individual study.
Two Kishhh Booths on the second floor of Library & Tutoring Services are available by appointment. A cozy enclosed room with sound reduction materials. Perfect for individuals to join an online class or meeting.
