Medical assistant

Medical assistants (MA) are highly versatile and knowledgeable health professionals specifically educated and trained to work in clinical settings performing administrative and clinical duties. From checking in on a patient or assisting with a procedure, medical assistants perform a wide variety of tasks that contribute to patient care. 

In our Medical Assistant program, you will:

  • Develop, practice and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and professional behavior needed to perform routine administrative and clinical duties of a Medical Assistant.
  • Be prepared and trained to provide exceptional patient care and perform vital administrative and clinical tasks.
  • Gain hands-on experience through lab and a 200-hour, non-compensated externship.
  • Prepare to become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • Demonstrate respect for diversity in approaching patients and families.
  • Attain the foundation to become a valuable member of the allied health care profession.
