Anthropology

Explore the complexities of human behavior, culture and evolution throughout history.

Anthropology

Anthropologists are scientists who focus on the origins and development of humans. They study the biology, culture, history and psychology of humans. The field uses specific research methods to explore all aspects of humanity from the past to present day. Anthropologists have a wide knowledge base and can become experts in biological, archaeological, linguistic or sociocultural traditions.

If you are planning to study anthropology at a four-year institution, you can start with Kish and:

  • Take courses in three broad areas of anthropological study: physical anthropology, cultural anthropology and archeology.
  • Earn an associate degree and prepare to transfer to a four-year institution to continue studies in anthropology.
  • Complete your general education requirements.
