Anthropologists are scientists who focus on the origins and development of humans. They study biology, cultural, history and psychology of humans. The field uses specific research methods to explore all aspects of humanity from past to present day. These professionals have a wide knowledge-base and can become experts in biological, archaeological, linguistic or sociocultural traditions. 

If you’re planning on studying anthropology at a 4-year institution, you can start with us and: 

  • Take courses in three broad areas of anthropological study: physical anthropology, cultural anthropology and archaeology 
  • Earn an associate degree and prepare to transfer to a 4-year institution 
  • Complete your general education requirements
