Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest award presented to alumni by the Kishwaukee College Foundation. This award recognizes outstanding Kishwaukee College Alumni who have supported the mission of the community college through involvement in college events, support of Kishwaukee College students, philanthropic contributions, or in service to our community.

Nominations for the award will be considered through a subcommittee of the Foundation Board. The Distinguished Alumni honoree will receive the award at the annual Kishwaukee College Foundation Gala the first Saturday in November. Attendance at the Gala is mandatory. The honoree and a guest will receive complimentary tickets to the event. 

Nominations

A nominee is eligible to receive the Distinguished Alumni Award if they have received a degree, certificate of completion, or completed 30+ credit hours from Kishwaukee College. Nominees will be considered based on the following criteria:    

1. Established in their profession and/or community.
2. Demonstrated outstanding contributions at Kishwaukee College and/or in the community.
3. Supported the College through involvement in college events, assistance to students, philanthropic contributions, or service to the Kish Community.

An individual is ineligible to receive the award if:

1. They are currently a candidate for any public office.
2. They are a member of the award selection committee.
3. They are a previous recipient of the award.
4. They are a member of the Kishwaukee College Foundation Board of Directors or Kishwaukee College Board of Trustees.
5. They are employed by Kishwaukee College or the Kishwaukee College Foundation.
