Kishwaukee College offers numerous scholarship opportunities

Kishwaukee College offers several scholarship opportunities to help students cover the cost of their education. In 2023, Kish provided more than $645,000 in scholarships to help students achieve academic success.

As Kish continues to streamline its scholarship offerings, there are recent application process changes to help ensure the College is awarding the most funding possible.

Chris and Katherine Boulos Scholarship — Application Period Feb. 1-March 1

The Chris and Katherine Boulos Scholarship is awarded to DeKalb or Sycamore high school graduates who will attend Kishwaukee College full-time. Previously, applications were submitted directly to Old National Bank. The application process is now part of the Kishwaukee College Foundation’s general scholarship application, with Old National Bank managing the trust portfolio.

Foundation Scholarships — Application Period Feb. 1-March 1

The Kishwaukee College Foundation offers more than 80 different scholarship opportunities each semester. More than $400,000 is awarded annually thanks to the generosity of community donors. Students submit a general application to apply for Foundation scholarships.

Academic Achievement and Dual Credit — Application with Enrollment

Academic Achievement and Dual Credit scholarships are now automatically awarded when a student applies to Kish and graduates within the 2023-2024 academic year. Academic Achievement Scholarships are for students with a GPA of 3.25 or higher who graduate from an in-district high school or reside within the Kish district and graduate from a private high school or are home-schooled. Dual Credit Scholarships are for students who have earned Kishwaukee College credits while in high school and plan to attend Kish full-time.
