The Alpha Rho Eta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) welcomed 27 new members
during the 2022-2023 school year at Kishwaukee College. The chapter officially inducted
eight of the new members in a candle-lighting ceremony held at the College on April
19.
PTK is the largest honor society in higher education, with more than 3.5 million members
worldwide. The society recognizes the academic achievement of community college students
and provides opportunities to grow as scholars and leaders. To be eligible, students
must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours towards an associate degree and earn a
3.5 GPA or higher. Students must maintain a high academic standing throughout their
enrollment at Kish. Membership is by invitation only.

The Spring 2023 inductees and their guests were welcomed by Dr. Laurie Borowicz, President

Vice President of Student Services; and Barbara Leach, Interim Vice President of Instruction.
