Kishwaukee College to host vaccination clinic

Kishwaukee College is hosting a walk-in vaccination clinic for students, staff and the community from 10 am-3 pm on Wednesday, August 25, and Thursday, August 26. Currently enrolled students will receive a $25 gift card to the Kishwaukee College Bookstore.

The DeKalb County Health Department will bring its Mobile Health Unit to the Kishwaukee College Campus. The vaccinations will be administered in the Student Lounge, C1130. No appointments are necessary.

Individuals will have the choice to receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or the first dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.

As an incentive, Kishwaukee College is offering a $25 gift card to the Kishwaukee College Bookstore to currently enrolled students who receive the vaccination. If a student has already received the vaccination, they are still eligible to claim a $25 gift card during the clinics. Students should bring their COVID-19 vaccination card, along with a copy of their Fall 2021 class schedule, to the Bookstore to receive the gift card.

While a vaccine is not required by the College at this time, Kish strongly encourages all members of the campus community to receive the vaccine to help control the spread of the virus. The combination of the COVID-19 vaccination and following the Center for Disease Control’s guidelines offers the best protection from COVID-19, according to the DeKalb County Health Department.
