Kishwaukee College is dedicated to fostering a community free from discrimination, including sex-based discrimination as prohibited by Title IX. This protection extends to students and employees affected by pregnancy, childbirth, false pregnancy, termination of pregnancy, or recovery from any of these conditions. It also includes care for infants along with reasonable time and space to pump breast milk in a location that is private, clean, and reasonably accessible. Kishwaukee College is committed to ensuring equitable access for students experiencing pregnancy-related conditions. With that, under Title IX, the college has a process to ensure the protection and equal treatment of pregnant persons, and those with pregnant related conditions. Like any other student with a temporary disability, students with pregnancy related conditions, are entitled to a reasonable accommodation so that they will not be disadvantaged in their course of study or research.
Students requesting an accommodation must submit an intake form along with supporting documentation Disability Services Intake Form. After you submit the intake form, Disability Services will email you to schedule an intake appointment, where you'll discuss your classes, how your condition impacts your education, and possible accommodations.
Kishwaukee College Lactation Room is located in Room C1238. College Map
Students who are nursing mothers may use Kish’s lactation room on campus for personal lactation needs. The private room includes comfortable seating, side tables and electrical outlets for breast pumps.
Lactating students are protected under Title IX and have the right to reasonable breaks and access to private space for expressing breast milk. For assistance or to inquire about a reasonable accommodation, please contact the Disability Services Office or the Title IX Coordinator.
Kishwaukee College will offer six Fast-Track career programs during the Fall 2025 semester. Kish Fast-Track programs provide students with the expertise needed to meet local workforce demands. The programs range from 8-15 weeks, allowing students to start a career immediately or build upon skills with additional training.
