Most books and articles can be located at other libraries and delivered to the Kishwaukee Library within two weeks.
Materials placed in the Reserve Collection by your instructor are at the Circulation Desk. Loan periods are set by your instructor. The list of materials on Reserve for your class can be seen on this web site at the Course Reserve Tab of the Library Catalog.
College Identification Cards & Community Library Cards
IDs are made in the Library. A photo ID, such as a State ID or Driver's License, and established student status, such as a student schedule, are needed to obtain a College ID. There is no charge for the original card. A fee of $10.00 will be charged to replace a lost card.
For a Community Library Card, a person needs a photo ID, such as a State Driver's License, and proof of residency within Kishwaukee College's District, such as a utility bill or apartment rental agreement. Any resident 17 or older of the college district may request a Community Library Card to receive library services.
A Kishwaukee College Photo ID or a Library Community Card is required to check out Library materials.
Most materials are checked out for three weeks. Check out periods for Reserve items are set by the instructor. You may check out as many circulating items as you need. Reference materials must remain in the library. Items may be renewed twice if no waiting list exists. All items may be renewed by phone at 815-825-9330, or online through My Account.
Fines & Lost Materials Fees
The library does not charge overdue fines. After a grace period, you will be billed for the replacement cost plus a $10.00 non-refundable processing fee. You may be charged more for Reserve items.
