Mexican Immigrants to the Midwest: "Mountains, Mist & Mexico"

KC International Ed Committee presents Immigration to the Midwest Film Series. Enjoy the film, light refreshments and brief discussion. Each film will be shown twice; 9:00-11:00 a.m.(room C-1121) AND 2:00-4:00 p.m.(room A-1225) on the following days: November 13 "Mountains, Mist & Mexico" (Mexican Immigrants) Mountains, Mists, and Mexico (56 minutes) - This documentary tells the general history of Mexican immigration to the United States, focusing on the personal narrative of several generations of one family that settled in Wisconsin. Included in the film are interviews about experiences of racism and adapting to American culture, as well as the contributions of Mexican-Americans to the nation’s history. The film touches on concerns facing Mexican-American immigrants that are still prevalent today. November 20 "Fourth Partition" (Polish Immigrants)
