Kishwaukee College has an "open door" admission policy and is open to all in district residents of the Community College District 523. All new students, including dual credit and students who have been inactive for two years or more should complete the Student Information Form.
Registering for classes at Kishwaukee College is easy. Just follow the simple, step-by-step instructions below.
If you are a former Kishwaukee College student that has attended within the past 2 years, your records are still in the system and you can continue to Step 2. If it has been OVER 2 years since last attending Kishwaukee College then start at Step 1.
Please fill out each section of the Student Information Form* using your most current information. After the completion of the form you will receive a message with more information. Please allow 2-3 business days for processing. There is no fee required to submit the Student Information Form.

Official transcripts from high school, GED, military and/or any former colleges or universities can be submitted to Student Services C2100, in order to complete the admission process. Visiting Students only need to submit unofficial transcripts if needed for prerequisite proof and Request for prerequisite evaluation form.
*We will ask for your social security number as part of the application process. This is required in order to process your application in conjunction with financial aid, as well as for our compliance with state and federal regulations. Rest assured, our systems are safe and secure.
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid - FAFSA. The Kishwaukee College School code is 007684. Use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool, if possible, for more accuracy. Placement into college-level courses can be determined by previous college coursework, Advanced Placement and CLEP scores, ACT scores, SAT scores, or high school GPA. All test scores and GPA must be within 3 years. Please visit the Placement Test Webpage for criteria. If applicable, college and score transcripts should be submitted to Student Services C2100. Students who do not meet the criteria for a waiver can schedule a placement exam by contacting Student Services at 815-825-9375.
Meet with an Academic Advisor if necessary. An appointment can be made by calling Student Services at 815-825-9375 or emailing advising@kish.edu.
Register online through your student portal (myKC) or in person in Student Services C2100. For questions about registration, please contact Student Services at 815-825-9375.
myKC is the primary information hub for students. Students can access their student
email, registration system, and their online courses through myKC. It is important
to set up your myKC KishID account as soon as admission letter is received.
To set up your account, you will need your 7-digit student ID number (found on your admissions letter, this
number starts with a zero).
Have you already activated your account, but can’t find your password? The College cannot retrieve your passcode; however, you can call the Help Desk at 815-825-9888 to reset your account.
For payment options, go to myKC or visit the Business Office C2140. Payments must be received prior to the tuition due date, check your myKC for important dates and deadlines. For questions, contact the Business Office at 815-825-9400.

Read MoreKishwaukee College is pleased to announce its Part-Time Student Honors List for Fall 2020. To be eligible for this honor, a student must have completed a minimum of 6 (but less than 12) semester hours of college-level courses at Kish with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
