Jeff ClarkOne of our popular safety course trainers is Jeff Clark. Jeff has over 20 years of experience as a safety and health instructor.  He has developed, written, and delivered myriad customized programs meeting OSHA requirements and standards and he employs innovative, hands-on training techniques designed for the adult learner.

Some of the most popular safety classes are 10-Hour OSHA, Electrical Safety - ARC Flash, DOT Hazmat and Forklift Operation Safety. Classes are available at Kishwaukee College or can be delivered at your location.

Electrical Safety (ARC Flash) Related Work Practices

This course is directed to qualified persons working on or near electrical energized equipment and the risk of the possibility of electrical shock. This training will include the topics of: OSHA Subpart S Electrical standard, NFPA's 70E Arc Flashrequirements for PPE, Lock Out 29 CFR 1910.147 and required Annual Inspections.  This course is recommended for any persons working with or responsible for persons working with electrical over 50 volts (facility managers and plant managers).

10 Hour General Industry Training

This is the perfect class for someone new in the field of safety and health. Participants learn the major provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act. Primary topics include the inspection and citation process, working and walking surfaces, emergency plans and exit routes, the new GHS material safety data sheets and labeling, electrical safety, and machine guarding and updated changes to the illness and injury recordkeeping. This course can be customized to meet participants’ needs.

REQUIREMENT: Class participants must present a Photo ID to earn the OSHA 10 Hour General Industry card upon completion of this class.

Forklift Operation Safety Train-the-Trainer

OSHA defines a powered industrial truck as a “mobile, power propelled truck used to carry, push lift, stack, or tier material.” Manual operated pallet movers, earth moving and agricultural equipment is not covered by this regulation. This additional class will review the Powered Industrial Truck Training Standard and include the requirements for an in-house training program.

This program will cover the classroom requirements for forklift operations including inspection and material handling. Also included is training for employees receiving or shipping hazardous materials DOT 49 CFR hazardous materials table, packaging of materials, shipping papers and other documentation. This class will end with demonstrations on the cleanup of minor chemical spills of battery acid, oils and fuels used in powered industrial trucks.
