The Kishwaukee College Foundation has announced the creation of the Constellation
Workforce STEM Scholarship thanks to a $10,000 grant provided by Constellation.
The Constellation Workforce STEM Scholarship assists Kishwaukee College students pursuing
degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Kishwaukee College
offers numerous STEM and career technology programs, helping prepare students for
current workforce demands.
“This scholarship helps reduce financial barriers for students while building a skilled,
diverse regional STEM workforce,” said Courtney Walz, Executive Director of the Kishwaukee
College Foundation. “We would like to thank Constellation for the funding — a company
committed to building a future in which all of its customers, employees, business
partners and communities benefit from social, environmental and economic progress.”
Constellation is a leading energy supplier with locations throughout the United States,
including the Byron Clean Energy Center. Their Power Communities initiative contributed
$24.5 million in giving in 2025.
