Peter Rood and Anthony Patino, past recipient of the Kishwaukee College Foundation Mathew J. Rood Diesel Power Technology Scholarship, pose for a photo following a breakfast earlier this month. Peter Rood, the father of former Kish graduate Mathew Rood, established the scholarship in memory of his son to benefit Kish Diesel Power Technology students. Patino was the first recipient of the scholarship and is currently working to complete the DPT program. He is an active service member in the United States Army Reserves and is pursuing his education in diesel power technology to help advance both his military and civilian careers.
